Remember the Reporter & Stalker Who Lived Next to Palin? He Wrote a Terrible Book on Sarah
I can only imagine what it is like to be living a private life in Alaska, and then to have a reporter move into a house next to you and start writing a book on the Palin family. Â Even the New York Times as come to the Palin’s defense on the book. Â This from Fox News on that aspect:
“The Rogue” reportedly makes all kinds of claims, including suggesting the Palins did drugs and that the former Alaska governor had a one-night stand with basketball star Glen Rice while covering him as a sports reporter 25 years ago.Â
The book has been panned by “The New York Times,” which went so far as to declare that it is understandable why the Palins were so angry about McGinniss moving in next door to them while he sought out the local gossip on them.
“Although most of ‘The Rogue’ is dated, petty and easily available to anyone with Internet access, Mr. McGinniss used his time in Alaska to chase caustic, unsubstantiated gossip about the Palins,” reads the review published Wednesday, adding that portions of the book are “too busy being nasty to be lucid.”
“Mr. McGinniss’ most quotable, inflammatory lines call Ms. Palin a clown, a nitwit, a rabid wolf and a lap dancer — and those aren’t the parts that assail her as a wife and parent,” the review reads.
In response to the book’s release, Todd Palin said the author should be dismissed.
“This is a man who has been relentlessly stalking my family to the point of moving in right next door to us to harass us and spy on us to satisfy his creepy obsession with my wife. His book is full of disgusting lies, innuendo and smears,” he said.
