Look out for the words: “The seriousness of the allegation” – It’s a High Tech Lynching
Are you old enough to remember the confirmation process and the hearings for the Senate Confirmation of Clarence Thomas?
One of the biggest things you heard from pundits at the time was that “given the seriousness of the allegations, that alone should stop his confirmation.”
Another phrase: “high tech lynching.”
The exact quote from Thomas’ confirmation hearing:
“This is not an opportunity to talk about difficult matters privately or in a closed environment. This is a circus. It’s a national disgrace. And from my standpoint, as a black American, it is a high-tech lynching for uppity blacks who in any way deign to think for themselves, to do for themselves, to have different ideas, and it is a message that unless you kowtow to an old order, this is what will happen to you. You will be lynched, destroyed, caricatured by a committee of the U.S. Senate rather than hung from a tree.”
There comes a time when we have to understand that n0body we nominate is going to be without a past. Â If it is Gingrich, it is his cheating on his cancer stricken wife. Â It it is Romney, it is his flip-flops and his Romneycare. Â If it is Perry, it is his not speaking up about that alleged “rock” at some hunting lease.
I am not sure what Herman Cain was accused of.  I do know in this world a lot of people look for opportunity to make money through settlements with companies. They say this is two women with some kind of allegations.  Does anybody remember the much more solid allegations of perversion against Bill Clinton?  No you don’t.  But they were so much more solid than the allegations against Clarence Thomas.  I have no idea as I write this tonight exactly what these two women allege. I do not know their character.  I do not know their financial positions going into making the allegations.  I do not know if the allegations were proven to anyone or not. I will not slam them, or suggest that there was a profit motive.
I would just suggest that as this comes out further we look for a couple of things:

1. Does this become a “Tiger Woods” snowball effect where we find there were countless women? Or is this it? This is all, and these allegations are all that they can come up with?
2. Let these women speak. Let’s hear their version of the story. Let’s see their credibility. I do not doubt we will see Gloria Allred come forth with one or both of these women in tears sitting at a chair making no real comment while Gloria does all of the talking. Â She flipped the California Governor’s election with such a tactic. I am sure she (maybe someone like here) will come forward and try to cause maximum damage.
Why would they do that?
It’s obvious.
YES – CAIN CAN WIN
Cain can win. Cain can debate. Cain has even stood up to a sitting American President and put him in his place when it comes to Nationalized Health Care. That was Cain versus Bill Clinton, and I am sure all of us have now seen the video.
Do you think the White House seriously wants Cain debating Barack Obama? No. They know his honestly and integrity is clear, and a huge contract to Mr. Obama.
Cain beats Obama, and this appears to me to be nothing more than a preemptive strike on a great man.
Romney’s people better not be behind this. Conservatives will turn on Romney immediately if he or his people had anything to do with this.
