Obama: Since when are contraceptives a “human right” to be put upon all of us by Democrats?

Honestly, I am more socially middle of the road that most of the members here realize. My biggest complaints with Obama and all of liberalism is that they have a Socialist agenda hidden under a cloud of pretend compassion. I generally don’t like abortion, but in rape I would not want to force a woman to have a baby with a criminal, rapist as a father. That is another debate for another day.
Let’s talk Obama, contraceptives, Catholicism, Christianity, and insurance companies.
Here is what I see very transparently:
His agenda is obvious here. I do not ever think he thought he could pull off a government mandate that is paid for by the government to cover abortions and contraceptives at Catholic hospitals and clinics. His real agenda is to make private insurance non-viable. Â Making an insurance company pay for government ordered extras such as contraceptives and abortions is a great way to make the insurance plan implode. Â There is no way that an insurance company can pay for all the abortions some women might be willing to have to avoid taking pills or using other means. Seriously – some women would actually use the abortion as a way to be more active without responsibility. Same with the morning after pill.
I am not making the moral argument here. The morals of such a person are obviously reprehensible.
Obama knows that such people exist.  He knows they will abuse the system under insurance company management, essentially making the mathematics no work. The insurance companies will pull out as they are also capped on costs.  Oops, we are left with only the state run, “single payer” system. The Democrats win.
That is what Obama is really doing here. Â He gets to pretend to have “given in” on a position, when in reality he never held that position.
He is so obvious it is beyond belief. The average person will think, “Wow, Obama gives in and it’s still not enough for the Republicans. I am voting Obama.”
