Dear Barack, Are You Insane? – - The Blunder that Will Bring Down Barack Obama

Dear Barack,
You are totally and completely out of your mind.
Let me make this clear, I know you are a devout Socialist on the far left side of the party from which you were birthed. I know you hold Republicans in the highest contempt. I know you think when you look in the mirror that you are looking at the world’s smartest man. You think you have everyone on this planet utterly fooled. You don’t. But that discussion is for another day.
Let’s get to the subject at hand. Like I said, you are totally and completely out of your mind. By trying Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (I prefer to call him “KSM”) and the three additional cohorts on American soil, you have created the biggest blunder of your presidency and you do not even realize it.
Let’s start what you and Eric Holder think you are doing. You think you are undoing the evils of the Bush Administration by bringing those victims of “torture” into our country and putting them in a show trial that will ultimately sink the Republican Party for decades to come. You think by bringing them to our country and giving them the same rights as we give a white collar criminal you are somehow setting up the biggest coup d’état upon the right wing conservative movement there has ever been in the country.
You attempting to eliminate some of the letter “t” words in our language. You have eliminated the words “terror” and “terrorist” from our vocabulary. You have replaced those words with “torture.” You are teaching a message that brings hate from all Islam throughout the world. You do this by stating that the United States of America is a country where the current President and the current Attorney General consider the prior President and his administration to be guilty of torture. This is worse than any Bill Clinton apology tour. The damage to our country is incalculable. This is you as President and , Eric Holder as Attorney General, and just about everyone else in your administration gunning for anyone that in any way supported George W. Bush and his policies on terrorism.
Are you insane? I know you a truly narcissistic with strong tendencies of self-aggrandizement. I just cannot fathom that you really think that by bringing these four terrorists into our country and putting them on trial that it will do any good for the country. Do you not realize that you are giving legitimacy to those in Muslim countries that hate the United States? I know you are doing this on purpose, and I know that you think that you can overcome any damage in the Muslim world with your slick tongue. Besides some very intelligent and well educated people in the middle east, there are also some that are radical and clearly believe that America is evil. In their minds you will be proving their opinion of America right by your condemnation of the Bush policies. On top of that, these show trials coming out will give KSM, et al, the biggest platform for radical propaganda they could ever have dreamed of. As a radical yourself, can you not see that they are going to totally use this platform against the country? As President, Barack you are the country. You gave them these show trials. When people get sick of all of this, they are going to come to you when it comes times to assess blame.
Here is why you are out of your mind:
Let’s first state the obvious. Of course they could be found not guilty. Or there could be a hung jury. Or there could be a change of venue which is only logical since you are trying to bring them to the scene of the crime to get the most biased jury against them. There could be a mistrial.
Taking it a step further, could not a single judge throw out the charges if he sees the prisoners as abused in some way? Eric Holder all but said they will be found guilty. The AG cannot say that. That is like saying that the trial is fixed.
Before we get to the not so obvious, let me digress into one observation of Eric Holder’s news conference on the prosecution of these four. He was more angry at the prior administration’s treatment of the four defendants than he was at the crimes of KSM and his fellow terrorists. Wasn’t that really misplaced anger?
The not so obvious now. At least this is not so obvious to you, Barack. Get real. Do you not see the circus you are going to create? The answer is yes you do. The problem is that you are thinking like the left wing radical socialist that you really are. You think that people are going to be outraged that the prior administration did terrible things to these guys. This is where you are insanely wrong. (I know I use the word “insane” a bit too much when writing about you. Just bear with me if you would.) They are going to be in the heat of the pretrial motions in 2010. You are counting on a liberal rage against Bush. Wrong. It will be the American people realizing that you have truly made the biggest blunder of your political life in creating show trials for KSM and his fellow cohorts.
Just wait until the Muslim world rises up hearing that these poor guys have been “tortured by the Americans.” Torture by the Americans sure beats what they would get in just about any country in the middle east. We are talking water boarding. Yes, I hear it is a difficult experience, but so it a colonoscopy. In life you do what you have to do. Personally never having had a colonoscopy, right now I would choose the water boarding experience first. That’s just me.
Back to the not so obvious. Additionally, Americans are going to understand that Bush 43 was a bit more wise than they may have originally realized. They are going to understand that Guantanamo Bay, Cuba was the perfect place for enemy combatants. They are also going to have quite a difficult time understanding why you changed their status from enemy combatant to common thug in our court system. These four guys that give your average murderer or rapist a bad name. People are going to become increasingly aware that you took these people out of the ideal setting and put them in a position of strength upon the world stage of public opinion. Seriously – shame on you for doing this. You did it for a political vendetta, and it is so obvious to everyone.
People are going to realize that you stopped the tribunal process in the first days of your administration, announced the shut-down of GITMO, and then – when time was running out on what to do with those prisoners, you blinked and decided to go back to your highly Socialist roots and use those prisoners, the tragedy of 9/11, and the nearly 3000 innocents that lost their lives to put on what you think are going to be anti-Republican show trials. The blunder is that those show trials will be showcasing your arrogance and absurdity in how you dealt with those most guilty of 9/11.
You are dipping your hands in the blood of 9/11 to wage a political war against the biggest enemy you fear, the Republican Party and conservative America.
We’ve got your number. This is a blunder on the highest level. You will one day look back on this as your biggest strategic blunder as President. Of course with the power of the presidency, you could even top this. God help us if you do.
Can January 20, 2013 come any sooner?
