Obama’s Katrina Moment is likely the H1N1 “Swine Flu”

While Barack Obama is trying to push universal socialism and tax and trade on all of us, he is ignoring the first Phase 6 Pandemic since the 1960′s. Did you hear on the Today Show this morning that estimates are that up to 40% of the US population could get H1N1? That is well over 100 million Americans. Millions in the US could die. This is what we face.
Read this out yesterday from the World Health Organization Assistant Director-General for Health Security and Environment:
Keiji Fukuda, WHO’s Assistant Director-General for Health Security and Environment, told The Associated Press that given the size of the world’s population, the new H1N1 virus is likely to spread for some time.
WHO earlier estimated that as many as 2 billion people could become infected over the next two years — nearly one-third of the world population.
“Even if we have hundreds of thousands of cases or a few millions of cases … we’re relatively early in the pandemic,” Fukuda said in an interview at WHO’s headquarters in Geneva.
The global health agency stopped asking governments to report new cases last week, saying the effort was too great now that the disease has become so widespread in some countries.
Authorities in Britain say there were over 100,000 infections in England alone last week, while U.S. health officials estimate the United States has passed the 1 million case mark. Those figures dwarf WHO’s tally of 130,000 confirmed cases worldwide since the start of the outbreak last spring.
“We know that the total number of laboratory-confirmed cases is really only a subset of the total number of cases,” Fukuda said.
Do you get it? Someone you know – maybe even a member of your family – is quite likely to die from H1N1. This is no BS. Look at the stats. Look at the likely death rate. This is without it mutating into something even worse.
Is Obama raising the alarm? Yes, but not the alarm for this. He is raising the alarm on his socialized health care. He is raising the alarm on global warming. Do any of us see millions world-wide dying of “global warming” in the next twelve months? He is trying to use changes in laws to create unions everywhere there are a couple of disgruntled workers.
There is no alarm from Obama on H1N1. Take note of that fact now. The time to act on H1N1 is NOW… Not when it becomes even more obvious.
