As someone who married a Tulanian, I can tell you I am a bit surprised to see that a “professor” from that great university is claiming that Obama owns our children. While that is totally consistant with the extreme left of the typical MSNBC host(ess), it is disgusting to see that Tulane has now been pushed into the bayou of liberalism that has consumed every major college in the Northeast and the entire West.

Melissa Harris-Perry essentially says that our children belong to the State:

“We have to break through our private idea that kids belong to their parents or kids belong to their families,” says the professor of political science at Tulane University, where she is founding director of the Anna Julia Cooper Project on Gender, Race, and Politics in the South. Kids belong to whole communities, she insists, and once we realize this we’ll make “better investments” in public education. (Quote from Wikipedia)

Family First:

My children are family members first. They are their own persons and we certainly are teaching them to think for themselves. We are teaching them to lookout for hypocrisy in the politically correct leftists that they will run into daily throughout their education. We are teaching them to accept nothing from anyone without doing the research themselves. We tell them they should learn that just because their friends think something is true does not mean it is true at all. We even tell them to question what we tell them.

Authoritarian Regimes Start Just This Way:

I strongly suggest to them to learn from history. History has taught all nations that many populist movements have turned from popular uprisings to authoritarian regimes. Regimes that strip their citizenry of guns, their freedom of speech and association, their freedom of religion and finally their freedom to even live if opposed in any way to the government.

I also teach my children to understand that if anyone lies once, they can never really be trusted. Who’s lying? Just about every Democrate from President Obama to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. They use lies and innuendos to push an extreme agenda that is designed to take away the freedom that should be the right of every child born in America.

Melissa Harris-Perry /aka/ Melissa Harris Lacewell is trying to tell us our kids do not belong to us. The truth is children ultimately belong to themselves. They are members of a family. They do not belong to the community. The ‘community’ or ‘village’ does not own our children. They are never possessions of a community, a state or a federal government. As parents we are not obligated to donate them to the state as state property, as they are never owned.

Melissa is basically a Democrat operative at this point. Her entire goal is to deliver little young minds to the arms of her party leaders without the intervention of the (biological) parents. That’s the Democrats way to put our children in chains, and control each successive generation for life.

The Truth: Republicans have ALWAYS been the Party that Removes the Chains:

I know where the left is going with this. They are going to try to cut-off our rights to send our children to schools that do not teach the leftist version of history. You know, the history that tells of the great continent that existed before the “invasion” of 1492. The history that tells the story of those “native Americans” that actually numbered less than 10,000 as of 1492 and inhabited far less than one percent of the land of the what is now the United States, but to whom the world now is told are really the rightful owners of this country. The history that says the founders of America were terrible, and nothing they wrote should be accepted (as in the United States Constitution). The history that says the Republican Party that ended slavery, gave women the right to vote, voted to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964 were actually “modern day Democrats” and that the Democrats of all of those triumphs are actually the current day Republicans.

Learn from History:

I taught my sons to read history. The truth is that it is easy to see that Democrats of today have always been Democrats. Remember it was 18 Democrat Senators and only one Republican that tried to block the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 via filibuster. Remember it was Woodrow Wilson who pushed a eugenics program that was taken almost verbatim by Adolf Hitler and the Nazi’s in the 1930′s. Remember it was the Republican Party that first initiated the Nineteenth Amendment to the Constitution ultimately giving women the right to vote. While so many claim it was Woodrow Wilson and the Democrats that passed it, it was really the Republican Senate in 1919, bringing Woodrow Wilson along for the ride. When you pick up a Susan B. Anthony dollar coin, you need to realize that Anthony is a Republican. (Quote: “I shall work for the Republican party and call on all women to join me, precisely… for what that party has done and promises to do for women, nothing more, nothing less.”). Remember it was the Republican Party that freed the slaves and elected the first African American United States Senator, Hiram Rhodes Revels of Mississippi.

I teach my sons it is about freedom. We all should have the unalienable rights as mentioned in the Declaration of Independence: Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. Liberals, leftists and the like are all out to end the promise of America and turn it into the obligation of serving a leftist state.

My sons have learned well. I sincerely hope that those that keep giving away their freedoms realize that people like Melissa are really out to destroy the country we grew up in. Those that have come to America in search of the American dream need to understand that they, too, must fight to keep that dream open for their children. I have relatives that have come from Central and South America, and I hope they understand that the American dream is not borne of gifts from the government that were taken from “the rich.” The American Dream is freedom and liberty. It’s self determination and independence. It is the right to succeed and – yes – the right to fail at times. Live it and love it!

Whether I die rich or poor in America, I lived my life free. I really hope it stays free.

One note on hyphenated names:

So why does anyone use a hyphenated name when they marry?

That’s so the children of the marriage have both names. I would assume Mrs. Harris-Perry decided that she wanted ‘her children’ to have ‘her name’ too. You know, like she thinks her children, if any, are her children.

Obama swore to “preserve, protect and defend the constitution of the United States of America,” and a three judge panel just threw out Obama’s nominations to the National Labor Relations Board. The reason Obama had to use a bogus “recess appointment” was because his picks were essentially radicals who would make Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin look like “tea party members.”

Oops… Other “Recess Appointees” Could be Thrown Out!

This from FoxNews.com:

The ruling also threw into question Obama’s recess appointment of Richard Cordray to head the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Cordray’s appointment, made in early January along with the three NLRB appointments in question, has been challenged in a separate case.

“The recess appointments are invalid,” C. Boyden Gray, former White House counsel to former President George H.W. Bush, said in a statement. He said the questions surrounding Cordray also cast “serious doubt” on the actions taken by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

Bottom Line:

The Supremes need to confirm this ruling and Barack’s other recess appointments need to get ready to clean out their desks!

If you use Wunderground.com, maybe you have seen links to “Jeff Masters WunderBlog.” I have on occasion read it, and once again it is a joke. He is comparing damages by dollar values in his first paragraph of his January 11, 2013 “WunderBlog” between disasters in the United States and disasters in China. He may not understand economics very well, as the Chinese have their currency extremely undervalued purposely. That’s why so many, like Donald Trump, complain about the disparity in currencies and the affect on trade.

Let me just say this. I lived near and on the coast of Texas for many years. Those that have been around for a few decades understand that “hundred year storms” come sometimes more often than every hundred years. Those that choose to live a couple of feet above sea level against an ocean are guaranteed a flood many times a century. Those that live even 15 feet above sea level are guaranteed to be flooded several times in a century. Maybe nobody under 40 remembers the last time it flooded on the East Coast, but it has happened before. The reason there is $62 billion in damage is not the fault of “global warming” or “climate change.” It is caused by nature in its every cyclical system of storms. I am sure that Jeff Masters is a master of the weather, but I am sick of such climatologists and other in the weather biz pushing this agenda.

I spent many years in television stations. The word now is that nobody can go through meteorology school unless they are a “true believer” in “global warming.” The quickest way to fail out of such a program is to do your own thinking. I know many in newsrooms in television stations, and that’s the way it is with any such school out there any of them can think of.

Now, he really got me with this photograph from “The North Pole.” See this screenshot:

Now, as you can see there is liquid water on the North Poll on September 1, 2012. What a crisis, right?

Let’s look back a few years. This is from 2004:

Now which image has more liquid water? The image above is from July 15, 2004. Let’s go to the same exact date but make it eight years later:

That’s from July 15, 2012. Looks like a colder, more icy date than the 2004 image above. In fact, when I look at the 2004 image I see what appears to be a warmer day with more liquid water than either the image from July 15, 2012 or the image supplied by Jeff Masters from September 1, 2012.

Get the picture? Do your own weather surfing on the North Poll Environmental Observatory web site:

http://psc.apl.washington.edu/northpole/index.html

Link to my images as pulled from that site:

Let’s be totally honest here. On our end, the conservative side of the world, we doubt just about anything out of the Obama administration. That even goes for Hillary Clinton. However, we do understand that she had a bad fall and she has a serious blood clot. Really, we should have had answers months ago from Hillary. At least right after the election. It frustrates us to see Hillary not answering the questions. Not making herself available. Not even doing Letterman to discuss it. (That’s a joke, of course.)

She falls and injures herself. We hear she will be back at work. She goes to the hospital with some kind of blood clot. I personally can sympathize with her and her family. I know that her daughter is probably very worried about her, and we wish her no complications.

Four people died in Benghazi. The survivors have never been made available. Several people are now under a fatwa of death for participation in a video that had nothing to do with the Benghazi incident at all. Even the maker of that video should not have had so much attention put on him. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama led the efforts to destroy those associated with “the movie.” That led to the fatwa being issued. For life none of those involved can EVER rest in public as there are people that would kill them on site. Other than the guy sent to jail, the others had no idea what that video was about. They read lines and dreamed of stardom. Likely when they went home after that video shoot they knew is was just a piece of junk, and likely nothing would ever come of it.

Something did come of it. All those associated are scapegoated by Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. They were further scapegoated by a press that went along with the talking point to make sure their man did not get subject to a political scandal that could cost him the election. The cover even made its way into the debate moderated by the lovely and hefty Candy Crowley.

Hillary knows a good scandal when she sees one. To the left, that’s Hillary (glasses, slightly female) at the Watergate Hearings in the 1970′s.

We want to hear from her. We want her to be in good health as none of us wish her bad health. I know she has been through a lot, and I know that her testimony will likely ruin her “legacy.” It’s not about her legacy. It’s about getting answers. It’s about getting to the truth.

I am going to give you five reasons for Rand Paul in 2016. I think we have to win, and this is the one that can turn it around.

1. With such strong social networks, the young voters are always going to come out from this point forward. The right cannot count on young people not to come out. Our candidate has to appeal to the young.

2. He is a fiscal conservative, but totally will not worry anyone about taking us to war.

3. He is not as crazed as his dad, and is a really strong Senator. I really like him as a Senator.

4. Someone needs to bring in ethnic diversity to the Republican Party, and Rand Paul appeals across ethnic lines. Plus, I know he can frame the debate in a way that let’s everyone know he is for them, too.

5. He is unlike anyone else we have in the party. We are lucky he is a Republican. We need to do right by him and make him our nominee.

Do you agree? Tell me your thoughts!

The biggest reason Democrats attacked the Tea Party coalitions two and three years ago was that they saw that the Tea Party did away with much of the single-issue Republican voters and had a fiscal conservative argument. Since the days of the ‘real’ Tea Party in the streets of the country, we have had this adoption of the ‘Tea Party’ moniker by others who are trying to turn it to the other issues they want included. The Tea Party was never about cutting abortion rights, however, many claim the Tea Party moniker now in the name of stopping all abortions.

Let’s talk about Curl’s article linked above: We have to understand something, as Joseph Curl basically points out, the abortion fight is over. We lost it in 1973. Obama is going to replace no less than two of the conservative justices on the SCOTUS, and that will make it over for another 40 years. The truth is only two of the five (or four) current ‘conservative’ justices are even thought to possibly be a vote to turn back Roe v. Wade. It was never going to happen.

The gay agenda: He says it just right with “who cares?” There is no way the Catholic church is going to start marrying gays, but other churches are. I married in the Catholic Church but grew up in the Episcopal Church. One reason I was so happy to leave the Episcopal Church is that it seems to ignore the bible on that issue. The government does not perform Christian marriages. They don’t. They perform at best a ceremony that is a “civil union.” Yes, they call it marriage. Does everyone realize that you can be married in the Catholic Church without ever doing government paperwork? Almost all churches will do this. I point that out because our society seems to think if a marriage is not government sanctioned with a state issued marriage license, then two people are not married.

We can still fight abortion in the states. We have had our best successes there. We will never get past the SCOTUS in trying to turn back Roe v. Wade.

Bush 43 proved to the left that they were right to fear the attack on Roe v. Wade. His insane approach to stem cell research was puritanical. It really was. Most Republicans opposed him on it. Yet he not only held to his beliefs, he pushed back efforts to reverse his beliefs. See this: In First Veto, Bush Blocks Stem Cell Bill. They know he would have overturned Roe v. Wade. This is one key reason they do not trust those of us who vote Republican.

Why do fiscal conservatives still vote for Obama?

I was talking to a fiscal conservative friend of my. A business associate of mine I have known for ten years. He held his nose and voted for Romney this year. He is Jewish, and his vote seems to us like a natural. How can any person who is Jewish who wants to protect the State of Israel not vote for Romney? Well, more did this time than last time and he is one of them. He voted Obama in 2008. Answering the question why is simple to him: Fundamental Christians and the attack on abortion rights. He knew that the Obama “War on Women” was really just to remind women that if Republicans could turn around Roe v. Wade, they would. His wife and all of her friends stuck with Obama without question.

We assume too many times that for certain groups we are a “natural” coalition. We’re wrong. We lost massively with Cuban Americans. We lost the overall hispanic population in record turn-out numbers in some areas.

This country is no longer all white, however, we are perceived by everyone not in our party as the “white” party. My mother-in-law came to the United States form El Salvador as a student in 1960, legally. She is a Republican to the max. She saw what happened to her family under Socialism and Communism. She lost friends and family members as things began to spin out of control. When Castro did his Communist take-over, it affected all of Latin America to some extent at the same time. She spoke of being invited by a boyfriend to go to a protest in the town center near where she lived. She opted not to go not being very political. He went, but left in body bag that day. That is part of the reason she got out of there and never moved back. She is a natural Republican like you would expect. She voted for Romney. My mother-in-law is rare. She is hispanic in a party that is decreasing it reach into the hispanic community.

All of the hispanic communities in our country voted for Obama.

Why? It’s because Republicans want to send back their mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, friends, and more. Do you get that? They perceive Republicans as wanting to split their families up. You likely think that is absurd. We would never do that. I’ve got news for you, there are many American born children, teens and even young adults that have lost parents to deportation. Do you get that? Their parents have been deported? Yes, their parents came here illegally. They had children who became American citizens. They get deported when they come under the scrutiny of law enforcement. Some American born have brothers and sisters born in Mexico or elsewhere, and those siblings have been deported. They fear that a Republican administration will go insane on deportation and send everyone they can find back.

We’re not sending twenty million illegal aliens back to Mexico and Latin America if they have committed no crime other than breaking immigration law. There is no way that is ever going to happen. Romney and our fellow Republicans who have a brain all know that. Seriously, we all know that. We have to have a real immigration policy that closes the border and finds a way to integrate all of those here into our society legally.

For those that don’t know, I was a Democrat for many years. I was raised in a Democrat household and it just did not seem right to me. I had parents in the media locally in the city I grew up in. I tried to believe in the liberal way, but I took my college Economic classes to a whole new level when I got out of college and realized that the professors were wrong. Keynesian economics was fatally flawed, and David Stockton and supply-side economics was right. Every tax and spend Democrat has proven Keynesianism to be wrong. Every Republican, plus Gingrich’s Republican Revolution proved supply-side was correct. (Note I did not give that success to Bill Clinton.)

I have known all of this a long time. I have known our party had a fatal flaw that was going to keep it from winning a Ronald Reagan sized majority. We have to get real and understand that if we do not let go of those things the party can never win, we are pushing those that could be in our coalition over to the left. That hastens the adoption of Socialism, loss of gun rights and more. Your freedom of speech is likely going to be seriously affected over the next four years. Sticking with those that insist on getting their way or its the highway is stupid. We need to get real and drop those off that can no longer join us without pushing their single agenda, and let them start their own party.

Finally, we need to plan for the future. We need to understand that tens of millions of new citizens are coming into our voting rolls. These are the people that are already here. We have a lifetime minority voting block if we do not find a way to welcome minorities of all ethnicities into our party. We are about to never have a chance to take the White House again if we do not make the necessary changes and face the reality that is reality.

You can listen to those that say to the contrary, but they are wrong. Like most of you I listen to Rush and others that say our current platform will work if we just push it harder. They’re very wrong. We lost to an obvious sociopathic liar in a campaign that revealed more and more of Obama’s insidious lies. We lost when there was enough about Benghazi out there to get most presidents impeached and removed. This president won because the American electorate trusts Republicans even less. Yes, we are far more honorable. They just don’t want what they perceive as the ‘moral police’ coming into power.

Do you get it? You will, like it or not. That’s the way it is. It will not be changing back.
